In February Sycor already took first place in the Great Place to Work® competition "Best Employers in Lower Saxony-Bremen 2017" in the size class of companies with more than 250 employees. Since last week is has also been established that Sycor is one of the best employers in Germany. What's more, Sycor went on to take third place in the Great Place to Work® awards "Best ITC Employers" in the category of companies with 501 to 1,000 employees on Monday.
The Great Place to Work® awards represent special achievements in creating a trusting and supportive culture of collaboration in a company. "We are very pleased and proud to be among the most popular employers, both regionally and nationwide, and that we enjoy a good reputation in the ITC sector as well," says Sycor Managing Director Dr. Marko Weinrich. Martin Renker, responsible for HR Management at Sycor, accepted the third Great Place to Work® Award in a row at CeBIT last Monday. "For us, winning this award again is both a source of affirmation and motivation. We will consistently maintain our focus on people in our future HR efforts, and continue striving to improve employee satisfaction," Renker says.
A total of 127 companies of all sizes took part in the current Great Place to Work® industry competition "Germany's Best Employers in ITC 2017". They submitted to a voluntary review of the quality and attractiveness of their workplace culture by the independent Great Place to Work® Institute and to the judgement of their employees.
The assessment was based on a detailed anonymous survey of the Sycor employees about key workplace topics such as trust in managers, the quality of collaboration, appreciation, identification with the company, professional development opportunities, compensation, health promotion, and work-life balance. The management was also surveyed on HR support measures and offerings in the company. The results of the two internationally proven examination tools (Great Place to Work® employee survey/culture audit) were weighted at a 2:1 ratio, which means the assessment of the employees is paramount.
"The award stands for a positive and authentic company culture, defined in particular by values such as trust, fairness, appreciation, and team spirit," says Andreas Schubert, Managing Director at Germany's Great Place to Work® Institute.
More than 650 employees at 19 locations worldwide make Sycor a "Great Place to Work". 93 percent of them who took party in the survey would recommend Sycor as an employer.
