IT service provider Sycor expands its SharePoint expertise and presence in Nuremberg, Germany
In light of the digital transformation, it is becoming increasingly important for companies to make their collaboration and production more efficient. Microsoft’s SharePoint technology is an ideal solution in these efforts. Against this backdrop, the Göttingen-based full-range IT service provider Sycor has nearly doubled its Content & Collaboration team and expanded its existing location in Nuremberg.
This development has created approximately 20 jobs for IT experts in the Microsoft SharePoint environment in the St. Johannis neighborhood near Nuremberg’s city center. “From consulting to development to infrastructure – by expanding our Collaboration team by the start of 2017, we will be even better positioned in every area in the future,” says Harald Tingelhoff, director of Content & Collaboration services at Sycor. Sebastian Wilms, who heads up the Nuremberg location on-site, adds: “Using Microsoft SharePoint, we support our customers with process optimization and automatic document generation. Our team brings systems together into a stable, fully functioning whole. We can create interfaces to Dynamics AX, Office 365 or SAP, for example. Modern cloud technologies such as SharePoint Online allow companies to collaborate seamlessly across different departments and countries. They benefit from a comprehensive range of functions without having to manage the infrastructure themselves.”
Sycor’s Content & Collaboration team is also the right contact partner when it comes to revision-proof storage and archiving. While the 35-member department offers many years of experience in the pharmaceutical and automobile industries, it does not restrict itself to any focus on a particular industry. “In principle, we support customers from all areas along the entire value-added chain,” says Tingelhoff. As a longstanding Microsoft Partner Sycor possesses expertise not only in the Content & Collaboration area, but across the entire Microsoft portfolio as well. This is backed up by numerous Gold and Silver competencies as well as a wide range of successful reference projects. “The qualification ratings in the Microsoft Partner Program show customers what they can expect: solid advice, reliable implementation and stable operation,” Tingelhoff adds. The company is planning to build on further selected partnerships in order to be able to offer customers an even broader range of services in the future.
With the expansion of its Nuremberg location, Sycor is driving its presence in southern Germany even further forward. A new location in Offenburg was opened only a short time ago. A further branch is planned in Freiburg. The Göttingen IT service provider is also on-site for its customers in southern Germany in Stuttgart and Munich.
