Sycor supports education project in Colombia
Lukas Klasen is the winner of this year's Sycor high-school graduation prize – a scholarship that is awarded every year as part of our cooperation with the Hainberg-Gymnasium school in Göttingen.
In Autumn, the freshly-minted graduate is going to spend a voluntary social year in Colombia with the charitable organization "Schule fürs Leben" (School for Life). Schule fürs Leben was founded in 2003 with the goal of providing underprivileged children and young people with opportunities for education and personal development. To this end, the organization establishes and builds schools, apprenticeship workshops, libraries and other learning environments together with partners in Colombia. Donations are currently being collected to build a multifunctional hall for a school in the refugee area Montebello. At Lukas Klasen's request, Sycor is supporting the project with a donation of 2,500 Euro. We wish him a safe journey and all the best in Colombia!
