After completing his education in IT, Willi Klaus learned about our trainee program thanks to a recommendation from one of our employees. Today he works at Sycor as a junior software developer for the Microsoft Dynamics AX area.
I’ve been at Sycor since August 1st, 2017.
2. How did you end up at Sycor?
I found Sycor through the Employees Recruiting Employees program.
I already knew a few of the trainees from my time at vocational school.
3. What did you do previously?
I had already completed an apprenticeship as an IT specialist for application development at the PEMA company in Herzberg. Before that, I attended the commercial high school in Osterode.
4. What do you like about Sycor in particular?
The people I work with every day and the fact that everyone is super friendly to each other. Plus the personal and professional development opportunities and the way Sycor supports me in that.
5. What do you like best about your job? Which of your areas of responsibility do you find the most fun?
The different customer requirements and the way you work through them.
I also like the “How’s things going” talk that we colleagues have together at the office and the constant exchange of technical information. So what does “How’s things going” actually mean and what’s it all about? We sometime use this phrase in the office to get an informal chat going or to find out more about the circumstances of a specific situation. But nobody really knows what it means.
What I really like best are the conversations with customers and doing developments for customers :). Talking with customers and developing something for customers wasn’t something I was that familiar with prior to joining Sycor. That’s why I’m always happy when I’m able to talk with a customer about what they want and maybe even get the chance to visit them in person at some point.
